Baptist Women in Ministry of NC

TELLING STORIES | OPENING DOORS | BUILDING COMMUNITY

Imagine you’ve been wondering if God might be nudging you toward ministry. Something stirs when a woman preaches—and it won’t leave you alone.

Now imagine not just sitting in the pew, but sitting across the table at lunch, asking, How did you know? What was your first sermon like? How do you handle the hard parts? Is this life sustainable?

That’s Sisterhood of the Traveling Ministers.

We gather women who are sensing a call—or simply curious—go hear a woman preach, and then share a meal. We listen, we notice what’s stirring in us, and we ask honest questions about calling, preaching, church politics, community, and caring for your soul.

Because sometimes you don’t need another podcast. You need proximity. You need to see someone doing it and hear, “Yes, it’s hard. Yes, it’s holy. Yes, you can do this.”

No pressure. No pitch. Just space to listen, ask, and discern.

If you’ve been feeling that nudge—join us!

Kick Off: Sunday, March 29, 2026, Watts Street Baptist Church, 800 Watts Street, Durham, NC 27701, 11:00am morning worship, followed by lunch.

Gathering at the Well Podcast

In the ancient world, the well was often the place where women could gather, tell stories, and share life together. Listen with Baptist Women in Ministry of North Carolina as we tell stories, explore challenges, and find hope for women in all kinds of ministries. All are welcome to gather at the well.

BWIM NC Video Resources

The BWIM NC Cooking Show is a unique video opportunity that educates a faith family or community to the historical significance as well as the literal meaning of food in the Bible. Each 20-minute video experience is filmed professionally by Parable Media, Inc. and features Baptist clergy and laity chefs or bread makers and assistants demonstrating the what, the who, and most importantly, the why of food in faith. Recipes and instructions are also included in the videos.

In addition to cooking shows, other video resources and webinars are also presented on a variety of topics, such as balancing motherhood and ministry, choosing a post-grad degree and thinking differently while acting courageously.
